We start by protecting your property. Tarps are placed over pools and bushes as needed and protection is provided for windows, garage doors, AC units, and anything other areas of concern.

We then tear all your shingles and existing underlayment off the roof to inspect the decking. Your decking is the foundation for a great roofing system. If there is any decking that needs to be changed out this is when it will be done.

We will install new metal drip edge that comes pre painted to match the color of the shingles usually. Drip edge is what protects your decking from getting wet and rotten from water running off the shingles. We always replace these items as they get destroyed during the roof tear off and should always be replaced.

This is a rubber membrane that goes down on top of the decking in all valleys and around all penetrations through the roof. This product is an added protection from leaks in your most vulnerable spots.

A synthetic underlayment is installed on top of decking as an extra layer of protection from water to get into your home. This is also much safer for our crews to work on as the old paper felt would easily tear and could potentially injure one of our crew members. Synthetic felt is much more durable and will not tear during the installation process.

This is the first row of shingles that goes down around the entire perimeter of the roof. These shingles are designed with a line of adhesive on them so the first row of shingles will bond with them and protect your roof from heavy winds.

The shingles are the protection your home needs from wind and rain. They are installed on top of the synthetic felt to shed water from your roof. The GAF Timberline HDZ shingles are a limited lifetime shingle with a 15-year limited wind warranty with no maximum wind speed limitation. These shingles also have StainGuard Plus to protect your roof appearance from an Algae growth. They offer a 25-year limited warranty against blue-green algae discoloration.

The hip & ridge shingles are the final piece of the roofing system which makes the entire roof look amazing. We install Z-Ridge shingles which are a high profile hip & ridge shingle, giving your roof a thicker wood shake look on the hips and ridges.

This is one of the most important parts of your roof. Without proper ventilation your attic could potentially be much hotter than it should be which could cause your shingles to fail sooner than they are designed. We will make sure your attic ventilation is correctly designed and installed. Improper ventilation could cause your shingles to blister which would eventually become leak points in your roof.

When the project is completed we will clean up all the debris and nails from the tear off. We will use a large roller magnet to clean any nails from the yard and driveways.
